Banner Day 1- Almost ready!

A year has gone by, it's taken a lot of walking and talking but things are really starting to look up..

Our local paper and radio station have been doing a bang up job in helping to promoter our event.

I have also sent a press release out to 4 TV stations and some national news papers etc.

Our event is being advertised across Canada by the CTA. ( the Canadian Transplant Association - hosting the National Transplant Games in Calgary this year)

I distributed 233 banners in our area and sent 100 banners off to the CTA

Banners handed in so far-

The first banner handed in was the one from Glenmary School
Next came the banners from Ecoledes Quatre-Vents
The first family to hand in there banners was the Dixon Family
The third school to hand in there banners was the Peace River High School
Then the Gaucher Family from Nampa became the second family to hand in there banners
Finally but not least for our local schools came the TA Norris Middle School.

Last but not least today the Peace River Rotary Club and added theirs to our number.

To date I now have 60 banners ready and sewn together and more are coming in..

We can add more banners -

For those that want to bring banners to the park on Sunday so that they can now be added on because I went and bought a portable sewing machine.

Therefore, I am now ready for those that may arrive with additional banners.

The spirit quilt is ready for the free draw

And I am now ready for tomorrow, to introduce our campaign to the ladies that have come into town for the  CWL convention.

Then tomorrow night I get to go out for supper and kick back and relax at a play with my Red Hatter group.

Then Sunday it will be ----- D Day.

( Day #1 - National year long campaign to promote family discussions on organ & tissue donation.)

Respecting the wishes of those that want to donate, as well as paying equal respect for those that can't or don't want to donate.

Take care and God bless.

Maria
