Gift Life Banner - Tasha's Heart

17 year old Tasha

Christmas 1992

Tasha tells me how important it is to her, that she become an organ & tissue donor.

She wanted to be a donor, but it was especially important to her that someone have her heart.

After she had passed on, I recalled those times when she was a baby how at times I would be struck with a thought that she wouldn't be with us for very long.

When this would happen I would panic, then go to her bedside and put my hand on her little chest, just to feel her heart beat.

Little did I know then, that even though she would die young, that her heart would continue to beat long after she was gone.

Little did I know that her hearts dream, somehow in someway, would come true.

Her dream to one day, find the one she was meant to be with, be married, love and care for 6 children, to travel and so much more.

Yes, we always knew that one day she would give her heart to a young man, but we didn't know it would be in this way.

We are forever grateful and thankful, to those that helped to make her wish come true.

Take care and God bless.

Banner in Memory of Tasha - Eagle

For the banner in memory of Tasha, my thoughts went back to ----

The day we buried Tasha, during her graveside service , an eagle came and  circled overhead .

This made me wonder, as to, what message we were being sent.

Today I found a quote about Eagles in a storm.

Eagles in a Storm

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks?

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us – and all of us will experience them – we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God’s power to lift us above them.

God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down; it is how we handle them.

In Memory of Millie Sprowl- Banner

This banner done in memory of my dear friend Millie.

When the banner is done in this manner -

It can be used for quilts as well as be framed for pictures.

Millie was born in Little Rock Arkansas and moved to Peace River AB as a young women.

She was a wonderful person that loved to spend time with her family and friends. Millie also loved kittens and had the heart and gentle nature of one.

I recall Tasha speaking of Millie with fondness, but I didn't get to know her personally until years later.

She came into our lives and she made a huge impact on me as well as many others in our community.

Millie was a true friend, loved by many and is greatly missed by all.

Millie wanted to be an organ & tissue donor but due to health issues her wish could not come true.

Millie passed away on February 20, 2005

#3 banner - signed banner - True Faith

This is my, 3rd hand painted banner, that I'm asking people to sign.

I did this banner because -I was told that this project was impossible.

But when I think of it, I was also told that it would be impossible for Tasha to be an organ & tissue donor.

To believe in the impossible takes Faith

True faith is pure gold.
