In my blog I will be sharing my journey over this next year.

Asking fellow Canadian's to help set a Guinness World Record for the longest banner in the world.

I will also share my personal experiences that brought me to this point in my life.

During this time, I will also speak of those that have helped me on my journey and the profound effect that they've had in my life.


For those who are new to reading blogs. 

When you follow this blog you will see that on the right side of the blog that there is a menu.

You can go to the title Chapters & left click on your mouse,

In the window you will see, titles such as, banner instructions, my journey and Tasha's legacy.

When you left click on one of these titles, (everything that I have written about that subject will come up for you to see.

When you are reading a post and you would like to see everything on that subject,

You can go down to the bottom of that post and it will show what Chapter it's in

When you left click on that subject, ie. Tasha's legacy my banners etc.

As I share my story and journey with you I will be adding more chapters and I will try my best to make this blog as user friendly as possible.

1)        How do we get material?

a) You can purchase your green cotton/ broadcloth from any fabric store or you can recycle material that you may already have.

i)  Locally in (Peace River) material can also be purchased by contacting Maria Stranaghan – material is precut at $2.00 a meter (while quantities last)

2)        When doing the artwork, quotes and or messages can we only use paints or felt markers?

a)  Some individuals have asked if they can do

Beadwork, fabric appliques, quilted artwork etc.

You can use the art medium that is preferred but please let us know what it is and make sure to email a photo

3)        What color of fabric do we use

a) The color of the material should be the same color as the [TULIP Slick Leaf Green] fabric paint.

4)        WHAT TO DO - If your material- is not- this leaf green shade

a)                Try and use material that is as close to this color of Green if possible.

5)        What will be done with the banner after the Guinness World Book Attempt in 2013

a) Material to be auctioned off online to raise money for the

i)   Gift of Life Path and Arboretum &

ii) Peace River Hospital

b) We would like to make it possible for individuals to have 3 uses for the fabric segments
